Public schools in Cross River state are set to resume on June 16 amid the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.


- This was disclosed by the state governor, Ben Ayade, who said PPE will be made available to children free of charge to avoid contagion

- Ayade also said his government has started mass production of quality PPE from the state-owned garment factory and begged the federal government for patronage.

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River says all the public schools in the state will resume on Tuesday, June 16.

The Guardian reports that this was disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen in Calabar by his special adviser on media and publicity, Christian Ita.

This as Governor Ayade unveiled the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) made at the state-owned garment factory and is being mass-produced.
